VALENTINES DAY AT THE SHORE (BEACH)

Funny thing - back when I lived on the island (Staten Island), we referred to the beach as 'the beach' and our entire eastern shore was comprised of beaches open to the public. The western shore had water unfit for man or beast so no beaches. Now the funny thing? When we did make a reference to "the shore" we automatically knew we were referring to lower New Jersey! Go figure. :)
