The Perfectly Pesky Tropical Storm
The Never Ending Storm Continues. You can see that we are just above the North East Quadrant of the Storm. This is where the winds and lighting are strongest. It is predicted to move North, North-East soon, which will drop that little gift right on top of us. Let us wait and see how this one turns out.

Great. Blog spam. Twerps.
Hope you and your family are okay, Mystic! Don't let that pesky storm get the better of you!
Well I did think of you while watching and listening to the weather the past few days. Glad to see it won't be a total monster - still - do keep us updated on your status there in NC.
Jeeze, I sure wish it would head up our way here in New England. Southeastern CT hasn't seen a good hard rain in at least two months.
Take good care!
(ps ... you may want to install the word verification thingy you can find on Blogger - it really works well to rid yourself of these awful spammers)
I doubt that you guys get the updates we do. We live at ground zero for Hurricanes. They are warning Adams Creek Area and North Harlowe that they expect flooding the same as Hurricane Issac. That leveled this place. I had to replace my roof after that one. I've replaced it three times now, but once a tornado took it apart,so that one doesn't count. Not to worry though, I'm good at this stuff. While my house was being torn up, I was out doing rescue work as a member of a Vol. Fire Dept. I get to stay home now. This one will be lots of rain. If the level gets above fourteen feet then I'll worry...If you look up the Nuese River you will see it looks like an arm. We are in the elbow. The wind is pushing the water from the sound, up the river, right to the elbow. When it gets to eight feet our roads are cut and it is everyone for themselves. We have survived many storms here. My family all comes to my house because they know that we have prepared. My roads have been washed away, blocked by fallen trees, cut off by flood waters but we manage. We play chess, eat well and sleep soundly. If it gets real bad we can always fish because the river isn't that far from us. We have the river behind us, the sound east of us and the ocean west of us....We are used to water.
I have been through seven typhoons in the South Pacific aboard a ship so this storm "should be" pretty tame in comparison. I have seen waves you would not believe. Enough about that. We are in the prep stage, going out to get last minute stuff and go to dinner. Later guys...We'll see how it goes
Came out at Five this AM. Wind has picked up and it is raining cats and dogs. Any PETA lovers out there I can find you an old hound dog real cheap. I guess this storm will be with us a couple of more days....Oh lucky us.
